1. Where’s Waldo?:

  • Jeans
  • Red and white striped sweater
  • Red and white striped snow hat: This might be tricky to find, if so, get a solid colored cap and use colored tape to create stripes. Attach a red poof to the top of the hat.
  • Fake round glasses
  • Walk with a cane and hide behind objects.

2. Old Geezer:

  • Wear khaki or dress pants pulled up to the waist.
  • Tuck a short-sleeved button-down shirt into your pants.
  • Suspenders
  • Fake glasses
  • Use makeup to draw wrinkles and color your hair with grey hair spray.
  • Walk hunched over with a cane and complain about “kids these days.”

3. Witch:

  • Wear a long-sleeved black dress. A long-sleeved black shirt and loose-fitting skirt will work too.
  • Black and orange striped knee-high socks
  • Pointy black hat: Form out of sturdy paper or foam if you don’t have a hat.
  • Black shoes with a buckle
  • Wear dark makeup and ‘fly’ around on a broom.

4. Hippie:

  • Bell-bottom jeans
  • Tie-dyed shirt
  • Jean or suede vest
  • Sandals
  • Peace sign necklace
  • Round sunglasses
  • Wear your hair long with a few small braids throughout. Add flowers or a band around your head.
  • Talk slowly and mention ‘peace’ and ‘love’ as much as possible.

5. Tourist:

  • Hawaiian shirt
  • Khaki shorts
  • Sandals: with crew socks!
  • Visor
  • Fanny pack
  • Carry a camera around your neck and stick maps and brochures in your pockets.
  • Ask people to take your picture in front of things and act like your lost, looking at your maps.

6. Nerd:

  • Dress pants or khakis pulled up over your waist.
  • Short-sleeved, button-down shirt
  • Bow-tie
  • Suspenders
  • Black dress shoes with white tube socks
  • Nerd glasses: Add some tape on the nose bridge.
  • Stick pens and pencils in your pockets, carry around a calculator and a thick book. Stick a “Kick Me” sign to your back.

7. 80′s Prom Queen:

  • Long, poofy dress: Many secondhand stores have a large collection of old prom dresses. Look for ones with giant shoulder pads, bright colors and lots of bling.
  • Long gloves
  • Heels with bright colored slouch socks
  • Tiara
  • Make a sash with thick ribbon and puffy paint that reads “Prom Queen 1982”

8. Princess:

  • Long, shimmery gown: Look for old prom gowns or wedding dresses at local secondhand stores.
  • Crown: Buy one at the dollar store or make your own with rhinestones and stiff paper.
  • Long white gloves
  • Wear your hair full and curly and apply lots of makeup.

9. Baby:

  • Pajamas: Look for the full body kind that zip all the way up. If you’re really brave you could substitute a large diaper and baby t-shirt instead.
  • Hold a baby blanket, baby bottle and suck on a pacifier.
  • This costume is especially funny on tall, large older men.

10. Biker:

Biker

  • Dark jeans
  • Leather jacket: Attach a Harley or biker gang logo cut out of construction paper.
  • Wear a bandanna around your head.
  • Black leather gloves
  • Motorcycle sunglasses
  • Leather studded belt and studded jewelry
  • Draw fake tattoos on your arms and a mustache.
  • Walk bow-legged, as if you’ve spent the day on your bike.

11. Vampire:

  • White long-sleeved button down shirt
  • Black dress pants
  • Black shoes
  • High collared cape: Create with black fabric or sheet if necessary.
  • Red bow tie or red insignia
  • Wear fake vampire teeth, slick your hair back and use makeup to make your face pale.
  • Pretend to “suck blood” from peoples’ necks.

12. Lady Bug/Bumble Bee:

  • Red or yellow long sleeve shirt.
  • Black spandex pants or tights.
  • Create wings using cardboard: Draw a large circle on red or yellow (depending on your bug of choice) poster board. Color large black dots on the red poster for a ladybug or use tape to create black stripes on the yellow poster for the bee. Draw a line down the center of the circle and cut down the center of the line to create two wings. Attach to back of shirt or create shoulder straps.
  • Attennae: Create using a black headband and pipe cleaners.

13. Flapper:

  • Fringed dress: Look in secondhand stores or rent from a vintage dress shop.
  • Feather boa
  • Long gloves
  • Thick headband
  • Long necklaces
  • Fishnet tights
  • Wear dark eye makeup, bright lipstick and carry a fan.

14. Movie Star:

  • Long sequin dress or old formal gown- think long and slinky
  • High heels
  • Long gloves
  • Feather boa
  • Rhinestone jewelry
  • Wear your hair styled and apply lots of makeup.
  • Pretend like you’re being photographed and strike poses every so often.

15. Girl Scout:

  • Green shorts or skirt
  • White short-sleeved button-down shirt
  • Wear a green vest or make a green sash: Wear over your shirt and cover with patches and badges.
  • Green socks
  • Dress shoes
  • Red neck scarf
  • Wear your hair in pigtails and carry around a box of cookies.

16. Bunny:

  • White sweat pants
  • White hooded sweatshirt
  • Bunny ears: Cut out of poster board and attach to headband to wear over hood.
  • Puffy tail: Glue cotton balls together and attach to sweatpants.
  • Use face paint to paint your nose pink and to draw whiskers.
  • Carry an Easter basket full of fake grass and plastic eggs.

17. Cat:

  • Black long-sleeved shirt
  • Black spandex pants
  • Cat ears: Cut out of poster board and attach to headband.
  • Tail: Cut one leg off a pair of black panty-hose. Stuff slightly with tissue paper and attach to pants.
  • Use face paint to paint your nose pink and to draw whiskers.
  • Cuddle up to people and pretend to scratch people and things, saying “You’re sharpening your claws.”

18. Caveman and Cavewoman:

  • One-shoulder toga: Create using animal print fabric and fasten with a rope around the waist. Make the hem of the toga jagged.
  • Sandals
  • Tussle your hair and make it look dirty with colored hair spray.
  • Carry a club and speak slowly in very basic English.

19. School Girl:

  • Plaid or solid grey or navy skirt
  • White button-down shirt
  • Necktie
  • Knee Socks
  • Mary Jane shoes
  • Stick a pencil behind your ear and carry books with you.
