I am a first-time customer and am delighted with the quality and comfort of these socks. Though I am diabetic my first reason for buying this model was that they are over-the-calf. These are not as easy to find as standard "Tube socks." These are a much finer quality and that feature really shows in the comfort they provide. They're Made In The USA too! What's not to love?! After trying over and over to find socks non binding and large enough for my calves, I happened upon these. I was buying men's in extra large due to the (unfortunate) girth of my calves, to no avail. These are very light, airy, cool, and just leave a little mark on my calf, nothing compared to extra large regular men's socks. I would highly recommend them, for the larger diabetic woman too. Finally...socks that fit my size 14 foot! The looser weave in the neck of the sock is much easier to pull over my high instep and does not bind down on the top of my foot after a few hours. Have been trying to find a good replacement sock for a diabetic sock my local medical store can no longer order. This sock is not quite the same, but very similar. It fits the foot well without excess compression. I have larger calves and this sock can be a bit overly snug and leave a compression ring at the end of a long day. One way I've avoided this is to fold down the top 2 or 3 inches of the sock. Then works great. Over all, a comfortable sock on the foot. (Posted on 4/12/10)

The socks i purchased were supposed to be Diabetic Socks and size 13-15. They were about the size of 10 to 12 and they indented my shins really bad, cut off circulation. They shouldn't advertise these as Diabetic. I'm really disappointed. Will not buy from Socks4Life.com again. (Posted on 4/16/09)

After reading some of the prior reviews, I decided to order the king size for my husband and they seem to fit very well. He wears a 10 1/2 or 11 shoe. I have found that many of the diabetic socks are smaller in fit and more so after washing, so I went with the king size and I am very glad that I did. I haven't washed any yet, as they were just purchased, but even if they shrink a little they should fit him just fine. They are not tight on his legs, yet seem to stay up very nice. Not excellent, but really great socks, especially the White ones. The King Size is a perfect fit for me and does not irritate my edema. If the soles were a little thicker, then they would be excellent. By the way, the Black King Size has a tighter elastic band at the top for some strange reason, which may irritate edema a little bit, so you may have to do a "pick-n-snip" operation on them to relieve the pressure.
