I ordered these socks for my daughter, who has spina bifida and tethered cord syndrome (not diabetes, but the medical challenges with the feet are the same). She has no padding on the bottoms of her feet, and also regular socks squeeze her feet so tightly they turn purple. Very comfortable to wear, but they should not be put in the dryer. I do think if they go in the dryer they will shrink because they are 80% cotton. They feel like they are very well made.
